Pottery Lantern Workshop: Fern & Flame

Dawn Tagawa & Kimberly Michele collaborate to offer an opportunity to carve your own pottery candle lantern! You'll get to select a scent, pour your candle, and while the wax cools, Dawn will guide you on your journey to immerse in the art of clay carving!

This workshop is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $45 and will include carving your own lantern and making your own candle. 🌿🕯️🌿🕯️🌿Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.

Dawn will kiln and glaze your piece for you! Your completed piece can be used indoors or out! Vessels will be pre-made and ready to carve. The finished piece will be a three-sided fern design glazed in jade. Pick-up will be at Sincerely Candles on Saturday, May 11th, 10 am to 6 pm.

[Technical Notes: the pre-made vessels will be at the right stage for carving before they are “leather-hard” and all tools will be provided. The two weeks are needed so I can bisque fire (cone04), glaze, and glaze fire (cone5). Clay used will be StarWorks White, which is from StarWorks Ceramics in Star, NC.]
